Say Yes

Earlier this week I attended the memorial service of a dear friend. The service was beautiful and there were many great memories shared by all. Although it was a sad occasion it also was a time of reconnecting with longtime friends. Some of them I had not seen or spoken to in many years.

Why am I writing about this you may ask? The answer is simple. Learn to say yes to more opportunities, and more invitations. Take advantage of every chance you are given to share and show love. Birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, holidays or any family/friend get together should be a priority. Spending time with people you love is important.

If there is one thing I learned from my dear deceased friend, it is to live life to the fullest.  When we live our best life we live a life of few regrets. The world has many kinds of people. All of them have a choice of whether they enjoy life or just exist in life.

We only pass this way once, so I say why not enjoy it. Purpose to say yes when opportunity presents itself, you never no who needs what you have to offer. If I could say one thing to my younger self, it would be “don’t get so busy building a life that you neglect to live life.”
